I'm Steve from Fort Worth, TX. I guess I was getting a bit nostalgic and was
wanting to check out some BBS systems that still were around. My first compute
was a TRS-80 Model 4 that my dad had brought home from work. I eventually worked my way to a Commodore 64. 300 baud ruled the world for a while. I remember those days fondly. I remember later on when I first got a 14.4 modem my friends called me lightning. lol. Anyway, I was just wanting to say hello.
Welcome back! I started out BBSin on an XT with an internal 2400 that was
only really reliable at 1200 until I figured the settings out. Later got a 386-40 and a Supra v.32bis modem.
Before BBSing, I used a TI-99/4A for several years. When I first heard the 2400 baud modem making its noises over the phone line, it reminded me some
of the noises I would hear when loading a program from casette on the TI. :)
