• No HAM experience at all

From Bbsing.Bbs@VERT/DARKSANC to All on Wed Feb 8 21:03:00 2012
    Hello all,

I have zer0 HAM experience and zer0 radio experience; but I've always wanted to get into long distance radio communication, and I've been interested in communications in general, I've never had the money to do anything about it. At this point I just maybe in the situation to do so.

The distances I'm thinking are in the zer0 to thousands + mile range.

My original goal was to build 2 radios so my brother and I could communicate freely over a long distance roughly 2000 miles.

Can anyone recommend where someone can enter this arena with my experience.

I can only imagine it'd be cheaper and simplier to just buy a cheap import ratio or
    hand-held....

Can anyone recommend where someone can enter this arena with my experience.
Sorry, your out of my league here!

    Canadian Bacon or American Ham?
