Hey Dan welcome!
I pretty much run qrp gear, cw, psk, rtty mainly the digital stuff. Use an
old Kenwood TS-520S and a bunch of 100 mw to 3 watt homebrew rigs myself.
The older gear sure is alot easier to modify/repair these days :)
As an apartment dweller I live in near impossible conditions, Middle of the City, very bottom of a deep ravine, on the second floor with high tension powerlines all aound.
Using a near-fullwave loop antenna for 20 meters and above I do ok on cw/psk
at low power levels and each contact is an accomplishment! :)
Right now I am QRV on 14.070 with 5 watts BPSK31. I use DM780 Software
on an XP laptop. Works good and the soundcard in thr computer seems stable
and clean.
