The USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial in Wilmington, North Carolina, will host a special event on Wednesday, December 7, to mark the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. Operator Jack Jacobs, WD4OIN, reports that NI4BK will be on 20 meters on December 7, 1400-2100 UTC.

The USS North Carolina (BB-55) was commissioned on April 9, 1941, a few months before the Pearl Harbor attack. During World War II, the North Carolina took part in every major naval offensive in the Pacific Theater, earning 15 battle stars.

Two of the ship's seven radio rooms have been restored, thanks to the Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club, which has been engaged in the project since 2000. - Thanks to The Daily DX[1]
