Does anyone know what frequency on 2 meter you can pick up on the shuttle crew and ISS during a mission? I was in Florida and herd some mission coverage on what i thought was 442.050 is this just in Florida? I was in Palmetto Beach, FL when I picked up on it.

SAREX is pretty much supersceded by ARISS now, so I doubt you will hear
    much.

For ARISS downlink, I'd try 145.80 +/- doppler.

Depends on where you live... Most local clubs, ect. broadcast NASA TV coverage. ie. 145.45 here in southeast MI. You are not going to hear the actual shuttle on 2 meter or 70cm.

Thanks guys.. Good question though for this message base. What I was hearing probably was Nasa TV coverage. What a big mission they had this time.
Anyway... will try that.. How often is the sat in my area? Could you explain more about doppler shift. I am new and just learning about echolink.
I know that's a different subject. It's fun in a truck. Jason do you have echolink up there? And if so what is your node number? I'll try and give a shout out. That would be pretty cool.. --- KDOBVI Right now I'm in my semi on idleaire... conected to my home sync bbs.. works good as long as THEY don't unplug the DSL modem.. causing a complete ip number change.. I hope the big sign above it helps... anyway..my only equipment I have to do phone on is a FT60-R.. works great parked.. still looking for an external ant. my dream rig is a FT8800R /yaesu for some reason I think I need the cross-band repeat capability.. What other radios have this? that would use my FT-60R or increase the power of it.. Or is that overkill?

umm.. Since there are two of us, I am confused?? Me or wa zzu luu.. ;)

If its me, I am in Sparks, Nv. As far as echolink, I have no clue what the node is. I am sure there are a few repeaters around here that have a node.

going back to my little hole in the ground now.

That vatries form location to location. you need to question a local
club or Repeater Association to get that information.
OR do a Google Searchg fgro "Shuttle Audio" and check the AMSAT site.
OR search the AMSAT site www.amsat.org for the info. Goggle is
    quicker
It comes up with a State by State Chart of who is Re-transmitting.
In my search it was the Second Site listed.

Depends on where you live... Most local clubs, ect. broadcast NASA TV W8>coverage. ie. 145.45 here in southeast MI. You are not going to hear the W8>actual shuttle on 2 meter or 70cm.

It would be hard to catch. But whewn they are operating it can be heard
and if you have the Orbit chart and know when they are line of site and
    do some Dopler Shift corecting.

Well, since most of their comms (90 percent) are on 2.2GHZ, my statement is correct.

This is a HAM Echo and I was speaking of the operation of the Ham
