Has anyone heard of GNU Radio? Takes creating the wave and making is programatically instead of with the hardware. Rather interesting. If you haver the right hardware you can make just about any wavelength you want. Check it out...

You DO need Hardware. There is a Recieve and Transmit Front end
Required and a Digital to Analog converter for the Transmit Front end
and a Analog to Digital converter fro the Recieve Front end.

The rest is done in Computer Software.

One of the purposes of ham radio is for when all the computers in the world crash and burn some day. everyone should keep it old skool and keep lots of the old technology
