I haven't logged here for so long my account was gone. I used to have The Worthless Nut or nut.synchro.net board. I was just talking to a friend that wanted VA, and I gave him a copy of VA and VBBS 7.0 and perhaps VBBS 6.14 anyway we got into packet radio and dang I miss those days pre-globalization of the Internet. Packet was really king of the coup back then.
Anyway I am Ray of Bellaire, Ohio only running 2 meter right now. I needed cash to build a new system so I sold my TS440SAT <wiping tears away> after my main system crashed, then my Dell 1.8 followed. I was down to running a Thinkpad 1.3. Just too doggoned slow. I'll be wanting another IC706MKIIG when I can afford it. I think it is the best radio for the money.

Why don't you spend around 300 more and get a 746pro that is continous duty? Just curious.
