With the recent talk of ham radio, I got the itching to listen in on some radio waves on the net. If anyone's interested in what that's like, here's a good site:

So, yesterday and today I've been listening in on some broadcasts... unfortunately, so far, I can only hear one side of the discussions, and only just this morning really got the hang of how to operate the controls. Really fascinating application... I'm not quite sure how it works, but you can tune 40 meter and 20 meter... right now I'm listening at 14178.30 kHz someone discuss the shuttle and ISS programs. Neat. :)

If anyone knows of a better site, lemme know. I don't have a license, so I can't broadcast, but I love playing around with this.

(and no, you can't broadcast from this site)
