• PHP on SBBS

Just FYI for others who may be interested.

I went through the instructions at https://wiki.synchro.net/howto:php to get my PHP woriking.
    A few things
    1. Follow the instructions VERY carefully. Not adding the .php extension in one place cost me a hour or more lost down a rabbit-hole
    2. There is NO FMP for windows. The work-arounds listed in various corners of the 'net aren't worth it. Another couple of hours down a different rabbit hole
    3. Don't forget to recycle the web-server process :-)

    Ok, that being said.
I created a few small PHP scripts to serve up my Calibre LIbrary. They run fine on their own (even using the `PHP -S xxxx` development server.
Copied into the root of SBBS they work perfectly too.

I've dumped them on github along with a few of my work-in-progress books if anyone wants to check it out. just `git clone https://github.com/JohnDovey/CalibreLibrary.git` while in `c:\sbbs\webv4\root` and then use the address of the BBS /CalibreLibrary to access.

You'll see I haven't done the metadata. I did it about 10 different wys and just couldn't bend my head around it. If some kind sould feels like pulling the books.php and writing something in there to display the metadata, I'd be most appreciative :-)

    All the best
    BoonDock
