• Down For Storms

From Daryl Stout@VERT/TBOLT to All on Mon Sep 27 09:25:00 2021
Just a note that thunderstorms are likely across Arkansas from
late Tuesday into Friday. So, I may not do any mail runs for a few
days. I will poll for back mail once the weather calms down. We
    do need the rain, though.

No amount of surge protection will stop damage from a lightning strike.
I'd rather be offline a few hours or days, rather than permanently.
Considering I'm a 2 time lightning strike survivor myself (indirect,
but I still got the shock and nervous system damage as a result), I don't
want the third time to be the charm.

There was a park ranger in Montana or Wyoming, who got dubbed "the
human lightning rod", as he had been struck seven times!! Tragically,
    he eventually committed suicide.

    Jay,

"I'm a lightning strike survivor, see?" *puts light bulb in mouth & it lights up*

As klutzy as I am, I'm not going to take the chance. Before my wife died,
she got me a T-Shirt with the following:

Front: WARNING!! KLUTZ ON THE LOOSE!!
Back: DANGER!! ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!

Her response?? "That's him". Nice to have the spouse so supportive. <G>

I heard one yesterday by female Christian comedian Chonda Pierce (she
lost her husband of 31 years to a stroke several years ago). She said that
they were talking about "being a stud muffin at 50"...and she quipped "at
that age and above, it's more muffin than stud"...I can relate. <BG>

Before my wife died 14 1/2 years ago, she had a T-shirt made for me:

Front: WARNING!! KLUTZ ON THE LOOSE!!
Back: DANGER!! ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!

Her response?? "That's him". Nice to have the spouse so supportive. <G>
