Nope, you did it right. :-)

Are you sure all that junk at the top of your post isn't in your message editor that you can just highlight and delete out?

If that's the case, maybe a different message editor (which doesn't spit out that stuff) could be used.

When I use Thunderbird, there's nothing I can do about that. I'm logged
into my system right now replyting to the mesage. I have brought the
    issue up with the developer.

Unfortunately it's a wcqwk thing in that it consider nntp headers as
part of the message body, and eports it as such.

Unfortunately it's a wcqwk thing in that it consider nntp headers as
part of the message body, and eports it as such.

    how exactly does it work?

does the nntp server interact with the bbs via qwk? upload (or move into an import folder) a packet with messages?

if the author is less than friendly about it we might be able to create a little program that processes the messages first, but it depends on how it works..

another option that might be possible.. if there's a "export" command that pulls all the messages and packs them into a qwk packet, maybe that program can be patched to skip inserting the long header part. but then you'd be stuck on that version forever because if it were updated the patches would need to be reworked..

Is he (Hector) really "the developer" though? I mean, he didn't actually write any of the Wildcat! (or WINS) code originally, did he?
