It's on my TODO list, but LetsEncrypt is frankly pretty scary to a
syste admin. I haven't looked at ACME.
I'm curious what you find scary about Let's Encrypt?
You quoted my quoted text... some people don't like how much the default
client tries to do. It tries to integrate with the webserver (apache/nginx)
in addition to providing the client interfaces. Really this should probably
be outside of the plugin, and less magic. That said there are thinner acme clients that can be used.
