  • ddfilelister - view extended description in list view

    Instead of the "pop-up window", could ddfilelister be made to view extended description in list view (respecting the View Extended Descriptions option in synchronet's user settings.)

    If user has this option off then ddfilelist would behave as it currently does. With this option on, the extended description is shown in-line.

    I had thought about that. The thing is that would require a fairly significant update to allow multi-line text items in the scrollable lightbar list, which could open up a whole new can of worms as far as development. I think it would be doable, but would probably require significant development time to ensure the lightbar list mechanics work properly with multi-line text items.

    Currently a work in progress. With extended descriptions enabled, the lightbar file list would use the left portion of the screen with the extended description for the current highlighted file displayed on the right side:
