Re: .INI files in Subs Folder

Hi Everyone,
What are the ini files used for within the sbbs/data/subs folder?
They're used for utility or module-specific per-sub data storage. The section names usually give you a clue as to what utility or module to look for further information.
I noticed
that I have a couple of them. I see one for a local message base and I see one for the dove-net syncronet data message base as well.
Yes, best to leave them alone if you don't know what they're used for.
Also, where can I
read more about the ini files in the subs folder?
general.ini (local message base)
Created = 0x5c798055
The "Created" date is just the date/time stamp (in Unix time_t format) in which teh sub-board was created.
syncdata.ini (dovenet synchronet data)
Created = 0x6238db66
[sbbslist]
import_ptr=32
See sbbslist.js
[avatars]

Really what I'm wondering is if I actually need these files? I'm doing some cleanup of my message bases and noticed these.
Yes, you need them.
