  • adding a node

    ALL:

    I added another 4 nodes that are going to be for POTS connections when i get my "new" 4 port POTS card in (assuming it works :D). correct me please if i missed a step in this process

    * created node[4-8] directories next to the node[1-4] directories.
    * Copied the contents of no1 directory to the others
    * renamed the node.1.cnf file to node.[5-8].cnf
    * went into scfg and create the nodes under "nodes"

    now it all appears to be working however i see [R] at the end of the new 4 nodes in umonitor and im not sure what that signifies.

    Only that last step was necessary (of those 4).

    now it all appears to be working however i see [R] at the end of the new 4 nodes in umonitor and im not sure what that signifies.

    You also need to configure the terminal sever to "serve" all 8 nodes now by setting your "last node" value (e.g. in the [bbs] section of sbbs.ini) to 8.

    yea that was the bit i was missing. had a brain fart completely forgot about that bit :D
