  • Error when running binkout

    Hoping someone can help with this as searching hasn't yielded many results. When binkout runs I receive the following error:
    We got an M_EOB but there are still 1 files pending in M_GOT.
    This happens when ever I send a netmail on that particur FTN, and though it looks like the message was sent, I never receive a response.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I get that, usually with systems not running BinkIT and I suspect running
    older versions of binkd or IREX. I have never actually seen any bad consequences of it, though, so I usually ignore it.

    Thanks Mike. I can send and receive messages and files on Fidonet with no issues, but on the other FTM, I was receiving the error, and not being able to send and receive. I ended up deleting the configuration and doing it over. I still see the error, only on that FTN, but can now send and receive.

    FYI, I am running BinkIT on Synchronet 3.18. I am still in the process of migrating from 3.15 using Argus, so it's been a bit of a learning curve. Add in that it's been some time since I have been configuring FTNs and I'm getting a refresher on that as well.

    Since it's working at this point, I'm going to leave as is as I still have more work to do to complete the migration.

    work to do to complete the migration.

    Glad it is working. I find it usually best to leave things as is if they
    are working so that I don't break them. ;)

    I usually keep fixing stuff until it doesn't work any more... trying to change that behavior... :)

    I have sadly done this also... it is a difficult behavior to fix. :D
