The entry was listed at http://synchro.net/sbbslist.html yesterday, I checked: there were 2 entries: "The X-BIT BBS" and "unix-bit". Today, there's just "unix-bit". I look at the backups of the sbbslist.json, and I see the "The X-BIT BBS" was created on April-1st:

... so one of the entries (apparently "The X-BIT BBS") was removed.
"The " and " BBS" are removed from the BBS name before comaprison and so "X-BIT" was compared against "UNIX-BIT" and considered too similar and thus removed. I can fix that.

Looking closer at the code, it's actually the sevice address ("x-bit.org") not the name that's detected as a duplicate in the database and thus being de-duplicated. I was not expecting 2 completely different Synchronet BBSes to be using the same address. Can you consider creating/using a subdomain (e.g. unix.x-bit.org) instead? As an advantage, you could then use standard TCP ports.

Yes.. yes I can do that. For now I'm just going to remove the unix-bit bbs listing as its new and just my first go at linux distro sync bbs so that x-bit.org is listed again. Then once i have sub domain stup I'll re-add unix-bit.
