I'm still having some trouble uplaoding two different files with different names that have long file names, e.g.

test_eight_1.txt
test_eight_2.txt

When I upload these files to vert, the short name is resolved to TEST_E~D.txt and TEST_E~E.txt. But when I upload these files to my bbs they both resolve to TEST_E~1.txt

What command can I run to see what lfn is being returned by windows?

Can someone share their sexyz config to see if that is my problem?

Im running the board on a Windows10 vm.

Also, how do I see the values that are being returned by SBBS for example. %p path and %f file name?

The terminal server log output, (perhaps debug-log level messages) will log the command executed.

Nope. It does support FTPS however that doesn't seem to be working for you.

The reason is because when you blind-upload to the BBS, its receiving the files into a temp directory and moves each received file, one at a time, to the uploads directory and Windows is changing the short-name of the file when it moves it. Try setting the "Search for Duplicates" option for the Blind Uploads directory to "No" in SCFG->File Areas.

I just committed a change to bat_xfer.cpp that hopefully addresses that problem. Please give that a shot.

I'm confused as to how you're accomplishing that with SyncTERM as it doesn't support batch uploads.

Since there are no files in my upload queue, the upload file dialog opens in syncterm and I simply select the file. This allows me to upload the file with the LFN even though I'm only uploading one file at a time. The regular upload function only allows you to specificy an 8.3 length file name.

Right. But you were having troubles with uploading *multiple* files at a time, which is why I asked what terminal you were using to do that. SyncTERM doesn't support uploading multiple files at a time.

Also, I really want to finish this tetris game I started years ago in SDL. I started it in SDL 1 and it was my first game so it turned into a disaster. A few weeks back I completly re-wrote it in SDL2 using a much better model namely addressing how the collision detection is done. Ive kept it inline with the MVC model as well. I'm working through a bug in the crux of the engine, but its going well and I should be at a point soon where I'll be spending most of the time on design work for the game.

Ive been learning some of the modern C++ too, move semantics are sweet! Range based for loops are pretty handy too.

I was having trouble uploading one file after the other (2 files, one at a time) that each had the same first eight characters.

As far as I know your change to bat_xfer.cpp will address the issue I was having. I was able to get the files uploaded by setting Check for Duplicates to No.

But when I listed the files in the terminal only the first file was showing and you mentioned you made a change to bat_xfer.cpp to address this.

I think your change to bat_xfer.cpp will be included in the snapshot now, so as far as I understand updating to the latestet snap shot should address my issue.
