Hey all I was wondering how one goes about posting messages on Synchronet including ANSI codes. I know that the editor lets you pick colors and whatnot but what I'm trying to do is to use my terminal program (terminate) to upload (via ascii send/view) an .ans file (as part of a bbs ad message). Is this an option?
Yes. Either put the BBS into "raw input/output mode" using the Ctrl-Z key before posting (ASCII-uploading) your message text *or* use ZMODEM to upload into fseditor.js or use the "/upload" command in the built-in line-based message editor.

hmm neither of those seem to be options.
the /upload command doesn't do anything in either the FSEditor or the default line editor.
The /upload command *only* works in the internal message editor. Sounds like you're using an old version.
ctrl-Z does nothing in the line editor but saves/sends
in the FSEeditor.
You have to hit Ctrl-Z *before* posting the message, as stated above.
How do I put the BBS into "raw input/output mode"?
I am using an older version of synchronet, 3.16c
Hit Ctrl-Z *before* posting the mssage.
