Re: Bad password

I have been having a problem since setting up fidonet on SBBS getting a Bad password error in binkp. I have checked and rechecked my password settings with Alan, and they are correct. However, every time I send a message to him, I get a bad password message. The message gets sent out before I even get logged off and BINKOUT gives me the error. Then, during an normal BINKPOLL, I get the same error, but the message then goes out.

Same.

You were likely advertising a different address in this case.
This is the event log. As you can see, It does finally authenticate and send the file. So, since my configuration has the correct passwords, what file could the bad password be in or where or what is causing this issue?
Notice this difference in the addresses:
10/5 07:56:27p BINKOUT JSBinkP/1.123 callout to 1:153/757 started
10/5 08:16:37p BINKPOLL JSBinkP/1.123 callout to 1:153/757@fidonet started
See how one of them is using a 3D address (1:153/757) and the other is using a 5D address (1:153/757@fidonet)? That's likely the cause.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully that helped.
