I have to use it at work. Thankfully our IT nerds push the classic

Now in my defense, I haven't found an email client I like in 40 years
    of looking for one. LOL

My OG favorite was Eudora. Now I use Thunderbird almost exclusively.

Back in the day I would use Pegasus Mail. It still works to the day.I
use the Windows version for certain things. After that came Outlook
Express and now I use Outlook. I guess it's what you know and what'
    you're used to.

One worth looking at is Claws Mail. This is what I use for Usenet
newsgroups but it's also works with imap/pop3 and has a lot of plugins
    for various things.

I migrated my company from a Mac-based email system to a single UNIX
box running Qpopper with a company license for Eudora. We needed 4
boxes for the Mac mail system, UNIX running on one desktop box did the
trick. We figured out how to share a company directory, signatures and
    more - very cool.

I remember the sound of the Eudora email chime going off when someone
    sent a message to "all".

I use Eudora. It has its weaknesses (including that it makes messages more likely to be marked as spam), and I have to use stunnel in order to have actual basic security, but I like the whole, "everything is a text file" aspect.

(And, to be fair, I don't open it that often, as I just look at my e-mail through a web interface, most of the time.)
