• IPv6 down/changing

From Avon@21:1/101 to All on Sun Jul 9 05:52:30 2023
The IPv6 addresses for agency.bbs.nz and net1.fsxnet.nz are currently down and will be changing (hopefully) in the coming 1-2 days to a native IPv6 connection / new addresses.

    Thanks :)

Making progress, new IPv6 address assigned, now working on firewalls.

It's going to get interesting in that the system running 21:1/10 is going to have a different native IPv6 address to the system running 21:1/100 so folks who currently poll agency.bbs.nz:24557 for 21:1/10 .. that will work for IPv4 but not for IPv6 .. I'm going to need a new domain name for that 1/10 system I think. Hmm

Really need to work on my understanding of IPv6... curently using an IPv4 NAT on my proxmox server for several separate services that the ones on the internet need to be able to access (http reverse proxy, etc). I have a massive block of IPv6 addresses, but had enough trouble figuring out how to setup the CIDR config for IPv4 on proxmox, and from there was easier (for me) to NAT another virtual device for internalized use.

Would probably have been easier if I understood IPv6 better... not to mention, I have a single small vps, just so I can run ipv6.bbs.land
