they're not coming to the US. I found out The (English) Beat are
playing too so surprised my wife with tickets. She likes them and they didn't have Dave's mic on when they played Lost 80's Live in Dallas so
we had no vocals for the first song, "Save it For Later", of course,
    one of their best ones.

I wonder how they're going to cover the passing of Ranking Roger. I'm
assuming they'll have someone taking his place, but he always had a
place in my wife's and my heart. He'd be onstage moving non-stop, when
    they played live.

I saw them once at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk (the bandstand they
used in "The Lost Boys" in the 80s, it backs up against the Pacific
ocean. The Specials opened up for them..).

Saw them at a club in San Francisco with the Plimsouls opening -
    another great show.

Same here! I am seeing Sparks at the Albert Hall during the bank holiday. I would love to see them in Portsmouth, but I don't know how I can get there from London on time.

Dave Wakeling was on lead vocals when they came through Dallas.

They did put on a good show in Dallas. Looking forward to a longer
    concert.

After that, nothing planned until the next Lost 80's Live in Dallas.
Looking forward to that, as aways, great seats, not expensive and hours
    of music.

Almost pulled the trigger on Culture Club but that's also as Dos Equis
and in August. Robert Smith said, during The Cure concert, something
like, "I hate to state the obvious but it's fucking hot".

Well, Robert Smith, if you were here in August, we wouldn't be having
that conversation because I'd be at home lying under a fan!
