• AI-WX Weather Door

From Lonewolf@21:2/138 to All on Thu Feb 13 18:29:44 2025
    Greetings,

I've created a new door that I hope my fellow sysops will appreciate. It is a weather door that does real-time radar in SIXEL and 100% ANSI graphics. It also does Current Conditions, Forecasts, Precip and Temp Trending graphs etc. You can search for any location on the planet and retrieve the weather info and radar for that location (infrared cloud cover too). You can check it out on my Mystic board at firesidebbs.com telnet port: 23231. I currently have beta testers putting it through it's paces and hope to release it very soon. I think you might be amazed at what your Mystic bbs can do if you give it a peek. I'm hoping to do my part in contributing something useful to our bbs hobby. Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Lonewolf

As one of the closed beta testers, I can assure everyone that this thing
is AWESOME! It isn't just for Mystic either, as I'm running it on
Synchronet. You'll think you're viewing live radar/precipitation data
on the web as you watch the Sixel images play. This is truly something
that will impress you, and your users. It's coverage is world-wide and
there are a LOT of various displays and information to see. Highly recommended!

I'm one of the beta testers as well and posted a plug in the BBS Dev echo
area on here; didn't look in the Mystic area for one. This is a freaking fantastic and amazing door. This works on every BBS running from under Win32 to 64 Bit Linux! If you're running a DOS BBS under Win7, you can run this door.

You just need to be using a terminal application that supports Sixel
graphics. Two that I know of are: SyncTerm and IcyTerm.

Don't know what to tell you. Works for everybody else.

How old is your SyncTerm version?

Sixel. Syncterm, Icyterm or Magickterm. I don't know what others support
    it. Netrunner does not.
