From Newsgroup: alt.bbs.synchronet

On Vertrauen, at login, several Xbin images are displayed right there in the SyncTerm terminal... I assume SyncTerm has the feature built in, and I'm wondering if theres a module or add-on that I can put on my BBS??

I totally dig the RIP style media changeup at user login... and, I'm into old school vintage images and art that would look perfect with that setup...

Side questions, if I can add it - do I need to be careful, or... is that something that only peole logging in using SyncTerm would see? What is seen with some other crappy terminal software? Or even Netrunner; which is used a lot by the Mystic side. ???

It detects the capability and only shows it to compatible terminals. If you want to see even better graphics, get a sixel graphics demo at wd1cks.org or nix.synchro.net.

Thanks... of course I should have searched first, derp. I'm forgetful, coming from other softewares that aren't as current, that most things are built right into Sync and are searchable this way.

Ok, I'm set... well, if I ask another question it will be correctly - after cursing for an hour and READING prior to coming back. :P Also, thanks for the links I'll [adduser] to both of those Sync's and appreciate your help...

Sync is so feature-full that its a lot to digest. I just wanted to read a couple .nets & here I am creating an entire BBS-hub for MYSELF, using Synchronet. I'll try to keep the questions down and search that wiki 1st!

I hear you, Paulie! I'm still in learning mode and my board is just about to go 'public'... and it has chewed up so much time, and i've pulled so much hair out in the process, yet I cannot walk away :). Synchronet rocks though and it seems pretty much anything is possible.

Let me know when you do face it public, as I'd like to login and check out what you're doing...

Currently, I'm working on getting my fsxNet imported into Sync.. trying to get DoorParty door games up and functioning... trying to get modules like full screen message lister installed, the nicest full screen message editors... and gonna poke around to try and get some of the key bindings more close to what I'm used to using Mystic, or the tons of BBS softwares that read messages like them; I think, hope, I can change a few menu items so like... "L" brings up the full screen message lister; that any messages i read IN the full screen message lister records as READ... etc etc.

Thats the fun part, isn't it???

Anyway... I'm playing around too... lemme know if you face public.
