    Well in topics and chatter I find it to be a little slower than last summer. It was busy as hell then.

    It goes in bursts. It doesn't really matter what time of year it is, somtimes it's slow, sometimes it's not.

    I don't think of Synchronet as a "Wait for the next release" type of software. I update from CVS quite often (at least once a month, usually more, especially when DM has a lot of time to work on things)

    We're in a bit of a lull with all online and social connections. Everyone is a little burned out on only connecting with people online after the spring, and want to get out and socialize during the summer, even if that's not the wisest of ideas. I expect we'll see more activity come October.

    It seems Dove-Net activity overall is actually more than usual these days. I figured it was due to people being at home more due to the COVID situation.

    There is continual information and discussion about Synchronet on Dove-Net as Synchronet is being developed. For instance, you can read the Synchronet programming / CVS sub-board for changes. We don't have to wait for the next official release to find out about the changes and new features that were added.

    That's entirely possible. It's been a bit since I was frequenting last, and does potentially seem a smidge slower. I know other social sites are much quieter in this neck of the world and figured the rational on both was likely the same.
