• Good Door games

Hi! The question I'm about to ask can obviously be answered online, but I want to get an answer from people who are veterans to BBSs and have used them for more then a week unlike me.

What are some great Door games to install?

Because the ones I've played - Star Trek and Lord II - just don't do it for me, and I've already played Windows XP Minesweeper enough to know I suck at it. I might play some of the other Door games to find out which ones I'll keep and which ones I'll delete, and I would eventually like to learn to code my own Door games to give my BBS an even more unique identity, but for now, what are some of the best Door games to install onto a BBS?

I think the original Lord is still far more popular than Lord2. Myself
it's Tradewars2002 that get more of my players. BRE and TEOS are also
    still popular

Even easier is to setup game from BBSlink http://www.bbslink.net/sysop/
it's free easy to setup and the game is networked so even a low traffic
bbs still offer more opponent for your players. It gives a very good
    uptime, can't complain.

Maybe try BBS Link or Door Party, they have alot to offer and are active.

Usurper was always my favorite, but I also have daily solitare and yacht games going that I play with my wife and some close friends and family. I also have some sports games I run.

More commonly popular are - BRE, TradeWars, original Lord.

Kirkman has done a couple doors for Synchronet in JavaScript. Doubles and
the sports stats door. There are no live scores or games currently for the sports stats door but something to keep in mind. Doubles was inspired by
    2048 if I remember right.

You can grab those from his github site.

Global War, LORD, TW2002. Those are the staples, in my experience. Other populars include LoD, BRE, SRE, Usurper. Now... they're going to be mostly buggy 16-bit DOS programs still, but there you have it. :-)

My picks of games that I would recommend for you are: BRE, LORD, Usurper, Trade Wars and Nuke Wars.

I am partial to Global War. It is accessible from BBS Link btw so you don't need to register a copy in order to offer it to your users.

DoorMUD, Usurper and Yankee Trader are a few of my favorites. I like YT because it's a whole lot less complicated/detailed than Trade Wars 2002.

If you could get Lords of Cyberspace (a MajorBBS door) working on Synchronet I would pay you =p

No one is mentioning Falcon's Eye which I always liked as the best of the turn based war games. A few of us here are still trying to get people in the combat.net league one.

If anyone is running inter-bbs, please let me know! :)
