    If someone logs onto mulitple boards and posts/replies messages, and if said user has a different avatar selected on each board, which avatar would be used when displaying on other systems?

    It would be whichever avatar they've set up on whichever board that particular message came from. It's not really a 'conflict' per se; Mortifis@VERT and Mortifis@ALLEYCAT are two separate user accounts on different systems, even if they share an alias - so they can have different avatars. (This is a good thing if you consider the alternative.)

    The avatar is chosen based on the poster's name and BBS address (e.g. QWKnet ID). So the same user on multiple boards would have multiple avatars.
