Have you ever been on a Synchronet BBS that was haunted or run by
hackers? That would be scary to say the least.

Do you mean like haunted by ghosts? I have never heard of ghost haunting computers or BBSes.

I was wondering about that too. What exactly is a haunted BBS, and if such a thing exists, why would a sysop want to keep running a haunted BBS?

why would a sysop want to keep running a haunted BBS?

Consider this: you'd always have users logged in. :)

Never had any dead people logging onto mine, but if they did I'd welcome the traffic.

I can think of some people who are apparently very much alive but who, for me, haunt some of the echos on various networks. :)

Maybe a haunted BBS won't allow the sysop to turn it off?
