Does Synchronet have a daily QWK message upload limit ? or is this just an individual BBS setting ? because I can only upload 30 messages to Vertrauen:

The scrollback buffer shows it started rejecting imports after 30. This was confirmed in an offline reconciliation where only 30 out of 34 were unpacked (by immediately downloading the latest QWK packet and comparing which replies were actually in the new packet).

Does that mean I have to separate REP uploads into multiple batches (each having a maximum of 30) ?

Is the 50 limit supposed to be for guarding against spammers ? can I have a higher limit ? like 5000 ?

It did it to me again.

Results of QWK packet upload:

Expected: 42 out of 42 successfully posted.
Actual: 30 out of 42 successfully posted.

Yeah, that's expected. Your account is at level 50 with a posts per day limit of 30 (I mispoke before when I said 50 per day). I suppose I could increase that to 50 per day, but nobody has ever needed or requested that limit be increased.
