In echocfg in the linked nodes setup you can enter a directory for a node then everything in that directory will be sent along with whatever else needs to go to that node.

It's called Outbox Directory in the linked nodes setup.

My BBS running SBBS/BinkIT has one filebox for a linked node and it works for me.

After reading that wiki page it looks like the feature is new/experimental but the outbox does work here, I can send files to the link at will by simply adding files to the outbox and on the next poll or inbound connect those files are sent as expected.

I am not sure about in boxes since I have never used it, but the out boxes do work for me.

well, the way I understand it, and have always used it in the past, is you set up a filebox for another fidonet node, and you can send and recieve misc files back and forth to each other by just dropping the file in the box. you hve to set it up on both ends, but it works like a charm. I'm far from an expert in this field, and only used it in the way I described. It's not something that is really needed, and it's mearly a convience. I think it's used mostly for gaming. I know a lot of sysops want it and use it. sorry for being so vague.

"BinkIT has experimental support for outboxes"
