• webv4 after 3.19a update

From Mortifis@mortifis@ALLEYCAT.remove-59-this to All on Sat Apr 10 11:45:49 2021
    From Newsgroup: alt.bbs.synchronet

Aft6er updating to v3.19a and confirming that all ../webv4 files and such are also up-to-date, I can no longer Log in with webv4. Also peculiar is when I try to log in the page refreshes and shows Register / Log in but the Who's Online sidebar show me as logged in, but is still being considered Guest.

    Any ideas?

Is it showing you as logged in on the web (in the Via column)?

I believe you're considered "logged in" on the web if your web session file (data/user/####.web) was touched within the last 15 minutes. Is your other web UI using these files at all?

Yes, that was it. Users are still unable to login from webv4, though.

Yeah, I have no idea why. Anything in your log when trying to log in? Does it help at all if you use a private/incognito session or a different browser?

No, I have tried several browsers and security settings. There is nothing in the logs, but watching syslog while a user is logging in (using lnav /var/log/syslog) I see the connection POST /api/auth.ssjs then after a few GET requests it shows session thread terminated. The login page just refreshes back to asking for Register / Login

So, as Mortifis (user 1 on my board), I deleted ../data/user/0001.web then tried to login. The 0001.web file is being created/touched and has a key=value but still not logging in. As an experiment I set RootDirectory to ../web/root (runemaster) and log in works. <shrug>

Thank you for looking into this for me,

I updated my win10 system to v3.19a and webv4 using the nightlies and that log in issue is not an issue, seems it's only on my linixbox (Raspbian Buster) <shrug>
