    If/when sbbs deletes a user, it always logs the reason why. Have you check the logs? --

    I haven't...but I will. I didn't think users could delete their account
    on their own.

    They can't, normally. But if the sysop (you) has their system configured to automatically delete accounts after a certain amount of inactivity (SCFG->System->Maximum Days of Inactivity), then sbbs can and will delete inactive accounts.

    Would it be in the ERROR.LOG file or elsewhere?

    It'd be in the same log output as the terminal server and event thread. Look for "DAILY: System maintenance begun" to find the log output from the sbbs daily maintenance.

    I seem to be missing some log files. Where are these configured?
