I'm spending way too much time re-learning about WWII airplanes. Loved them whem I was a kid, had a room full of models hanging from the ceiling. I suck at dogfighting with the more powerful fighters, but can hold my own with an ancient soviet biplane. :)
There's a Youtube channel called "Squireflyer" with a guy doing his best impression of a Monty Python british pilot skit, and a strategy tip here and there.
I cannot get my hands on a pc or console powerful enough to play a real simulator and it be enjoyable, I love my RC planes though, and I have one of the cheaper Turnigy I10 radios (built my flysky) this is a badass little radio that I can fly ANYTHING with and it has telemetry for battery consumpution, rpm, temp, and you could more than likely build other modules if you like. can also be expanded to 14 channels (i've never used over about 7 myself even flying crow with a glider) but I wish I could land myself a good simulator or even game to play to keep my fingers trained while I'm in downtime.
Things have been so busy lately I barely have time to keep the BBS up much
less fly, I have'nt taken my glider out in about 8 months because it has a little over a 2 meter wingspan and I hate having to break it down to fit it in the jeep (van broken down) anyways, I know I'm way off topic, but I miss being able to fly and have run upon a couple of these ww2 type games and loved them, even though a lot of the true flight dynamics, etc were'nt there. but the action sure was. truthfully real flight sims can get quite boring unless you're running some type of course, etc. so games like these do help to keep the fingers, and mind agile.
