The Psychadelic Furs new album, Made of Rain has been delayed until July 31st - was supposed to come out this weekend. The first single, Don't Believe, sounds like vintage PFurs - closer to their older post-punk
roots than their glossy New Wave peak, but smoothed over.

Can't WAIT to listen to this album. I saw them live waaaaay back in the early 90's at my university in Riverside, California. It was "The World Outside Tour" in the USA, I think. So good.
It was also the same year that Echo & The Bunnymen came to campus as
well, but without lead signer Ian McCulloch... which they conveniently didn't advertise lol. "Echo and the Bogusmen" we called them after
that.
Sigh. Good times. Good to see an amazing band like the Furs still
making music!
I wish I could've seen The Cars.
Last year we have a music festival of 80s bands at a local Indian Casino. Loverboy was the headliner and they blew me away. I associated as a band
my sister and her friends listened to. Never imagined they'd be so good.

1985, Wang Chung opened up for them. Ric Ocasek didn't say a word.
Sounded great, though, and Benjamin Orr carried the night as he always did. RIP.

1982, Loverboy opened up for Journey on the "Escape" tour. My first concert!

That would've been epic. I sort of feel a slight pull of jealousy. I was eight >years old in 1982 and was still playing kiddie music on my eight track player.
Nothing against Ocasek, also RIP, but most of my favorite Cars tunes are the ones that Orr sang on.

I turned 12 that year. I was starting to listen to acts like Journey
and Loverboy, but I did not start attending concerts until I was 17 and
I went to see Pink Floyd. :O

Was it at UC Riverside at the Barn?
@MSGID: <5EB83BDC.17686.dove-ent@vert.synchro.net>No. But I did go to UC Riverside 2001-2003, but I saw HedPe in 1997 there.
