    Hi all,

Any homebrewers here? Have any favorite recipes?

I brewed a schwartzbier recently and I'd like to share it with you: https://www.greatfermentations.com/schwarztastic-schwarzbier-recipe/

This is, incidentally, my first BBS post since the 1980s. It's good to be back!

It's been about a year or so since I brewed, It's a thing I really want to get back into, I just haven't had the time. I do love me a sswartzbier, so I'm gonna check yours out when I get a chance!

Welcome back! A lot has changed, and a lot has stayed the same!

Not yet, but I want to start some day. This weekend though I've made first smoked Polish sousage (pork + beef) using my grandpas old recipes and traditional techniques.. damn how good it tastes!

    Hi DaiTengu,

Do let me know how it turns out if you get around to it. I don't know about
the weather where you're at, but here, it's fall all of a sudden and prime brewing weather IMHO.

( I should clarify, the link doesn't point to a recipe I wrote, but one that like a lot. Actually, it's the only schwartzbier I've ever brewed. )

    cheers,
    Quasimodem

I live in Southwest Michigan wine country, and this is when the grapes' sugar is just right to get picked, and pressed into juice for wine. Apples are
also getting ready for cider, then hard cider soon after.

There are loads of hops grown in my area as well. First it was Greenbush,
then Haymarket, Tapistry, Round Barn, and 3 Blondes moved in and hired up all the good amateur brewers. In the spring I like to make a ride up to Bells
when they begin to pour the Oberon.

A local Polish owned deli makes their own sausage, but the good stuff comes from South Bend at Jaworski's Market. They even sell Tyskie beer to go with it.
