It's been 30+ years since I ran a BBS so it's quite exciting to have this
and running.
Yep! I recognize the feeling. =)
great ability to snapshot! I remember many mistakes back in the day resul n booting from floppy and if installing the OS again it was 30+ 1.44mb flo one after the other and then a ZIP drive to restore files and message back . oh how lucky we are with today's technology.
I remember OS/2 2.1 floppies with read errors and having to order replacement ones from IBM. =)
I ran my BBS on DOS, Windows 3.1, DesqView, OS/2 2.1 and 3.0, Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 Professional before shutting it down, then reopened it a couple of years ago on Linux. =)
Best regards
Zip
