    Hello All,

    GO PACK GO! :)

SNL Ditka voice: Da Bearz Da Bearz Da Bearz Da Bearz! ;)

Was a good game even though your Pack won. Rodgers looked like he was having fun and was sharp as usual.

It's actually expected that Cutler will turn the ball over to us at least once per game. Once Matthews got that interception, it was over with. Cutler seems to lose focus after that and makes more bad plays.

Didn't you know? Cutler is listed on our roster as a backup QB! :) :) :)

Yeah, unfortunately that continues to be a problem. Then again, they continue to have lackluster talent at the WR posistion. B. Marshall was a complete no show last season and it's good he's gone but who steps up? You would think Jeffries but so far, nothing spectacular. The same thing at the TE posistion. Bennett has yet to have a break out season.

Defensively, the Bears no longer have a standout LB. Looked at times totally confused as to the coverage. Allowing Rodgers to just trot through the middle of the field almost at will. I mean c'mon man! Anybody who's been paying attention over the last few seasons knows you gotta spy Rodgers. Sneaky lil' happy feet and super smart. The DT's gotta take care of business in the middle so the LB's can play smart. I don't know, shocked that J. Fox didn't have a better defensive game plan for you guys.

Still a long way to go but i was hoping for a bit more than just another rebuilding year. Your PACK was the only team in the North that won their opener. Always a good thing cuz you know how precious those division games are down the stretch. Next time these two teams meet will be Nov. 26th. It's a Thursday night game. Hopefully the Bears can put together some wins before then but we'll just have to wait and see.

True. I can only wonder if this stems from the fact that they can't find a decent coach to last more than a couple years.

I don't think I've ever heard of J. Fox before. Is he new this season? Our defensive coordinator is, and has been for quite awhile, Dom Capers. It seems we can have the #1 rated defense in the league, and still give up 20 points per
game. Needless to say he's one of the most talked about coaches/coordinators up
    here.

Two years in a row we got picked off by the Seahawks. Last year we completely gave it to them. I can't see that happening again, but if it does.. someone needs to get fired, and I've already mentioned who that should probably be. :)

That's certainly part of it. From this fans perspective, the firing of Lovey Smith in 2012 was a travesty. The next two years of the Marc Trestman project was a complete failure. They finished 5-11 during his second season as coach. Finally, in 2015 they hired a new GM and thus the John Fox hiring. Fox was the Panthers coach from 02-10, then took over the reigns at Denver from 11-15.
Fox now has a 4 yr contract in Chicago.

Dom Capers has been in the league for a long time. Tough, defensive guy. I still remember him from when he was the DC of Pittsburgh.

Love em' or hate em', Pete Carroll has really done an amazing job in Seattle. Back to back Superbowl trips is unbelievable in any era but even more unbelievable in this age of free-agency.

Barring injury, i think the Pack will be fine and continue it's dominance in the North. Naturally i hope the Bears can get it together under Fox and with Cutler as the QB but watching Cutlers reaction after that pick could be telling of the season to come. Ugh!

I'm not sure as to why they fired Lovey, but he had absolutely no reaction when
they were being dominated. I never saw him get angry, or yell at a ref, or anything. Other than that, I thought he did alright.

I'm not so sure they made the right decision giving Cutler all that money and all those years. I still have yet to be convince that he's any kind of good quarterback. Way too hit or miss for me to bet the farm on.

Mainly because they missed the playoffs the last 5 of 6 seasons. Now admittedly that last sentence looks really bad for any team but take a look back at the QB injury merry-go round. Grossman, Griese, Orton, Todd Collins, Caleb Hanie, Josh McCown, Jason Campbell, Jimmy Clausen, Jay Cutler. Now, to Lovey's credit, he had to be in total control of his emotions because can you imagine? :)
He was an amazing positive influence for his players. I've even read that he never even used profanity around his team. The players loved him. Heck, Urlacher retired because of it. The majority of the team wanted to leave with him. That's saying something! When he took over Tampa a couple years ago former Bears players were trying to get over there.

Agreed. I think it hurt'em and hurt the team! Then again, this is his season to prove everyone wrong! If they can't get the run going this year it could be real ugly.

Sure, but if it does get ugly, what can they really do? If they were to let Cutler go, they'd have to pay him off, which at this point is probably still quite a bit of money, leaving them hurting for picking up anyone else at a decent price. Where would they start? Hasn't the coach only been there a year or two? Just seems like it's mass confusion over there right now. Someone's gonna have to be the whipping boy (if they do bad, of course). :)

Exactly! Terrible situation but i believe that if Cutler continues to give games away by turning the ball over, Coach Fox will not hesitate to throw Jimmy Clausen in and sit Cutler. At some point you gotta see whether Clausen can lead a team because barring a Cutler/Bears SB 50 win, you gotta figure he won't be back!

there a year or two? Just seems like it's mass confusion over there right now. Someone's gonna have to be the whipping boy (if they do bad, of course). :)

I'd love to see the O Line come together and for M.Forte to have a breakout season. As a die-hard fan, when you think of Chicago, you think of defense and run game. Heck, we havn't had a good running game in forever. We have and have had good backs, but no good run game. It's been totally depressing for years! Passing league, sure. Still need to run the ball though to open up that passing game. Drives me absolutely bonkers to see pass, pass, pass, punt! OMG!!! ;)

    Good luck with Seattle, Nick.
