it would seem the renegade theme (well more importantly, it's swap of a/r for again/reply) doesn't happen until you've actually made it to the menu. new scans don't have it swapped yet.
not a big deal but if it's an actual five-minute-fix that would be neat :)
There's 2 things you can try (either should work):
1. edit exec/logon.js, towards the end, add:
if(user.command_shell.toLowerCase() == "renegade")
system.settings |= SYS_RA_EMU;
2. add an external program that executes on event: "Logon, Only" with the command-line of "*ra-emu" and Access Requires of "SHELL=RENEGADE".
