That address should have to go out of my machine to the synchro.net
 DNS server, right?
It's not short-circuited via the HOSTS file. So, unless it's being cut
off someplace else... I can't explain what I see... Duece?

  As I first configured them:

I tried a second approach, being more explicit:

  And for those unbelievers...

 From dnsstuff.com I get:
How I am searching:
Searching for bnb.dtdns.net A record at i.root-servers.net
[192.36.148.17]: Got referral to D.GTLD-SERVERS.net. [took 278 ms]
Searching for bnb.dtdns.net A record at D.GTLD-SERVERS.net.
[192.31.80.30]: Got referral to ns2.dtdns.com. [took 146 ms]
Searching for bnb.dtdns.net A record at ns2.dtdns.com. [69.89.70.51]:
Reports bnb.dtdns.net. [took 105 ms]
Answer:
Domain	Type	Class	TTL	Answer
bnb.dtdns.net.	A	IN	60	71.13.128.6
dtdns.net.	NS	IN	172800	ns1.dtdns.com.
dtdns.net.	NS	IN	172800	ns2.dtdns.com.
ns1.dtdns.com.	A	IN	7200	216.139.195.8
ns2.dtdns.com.	A	IN	7200	69.89.70.51
Trying to connect to 71.13.128.6 times out, but the dns info appears to
be functioning. Is that is your external IP? Assuming yes, make sure
WIndows Firewall didn't turn itself on during an Update (if you are on
Win that is).. or any other firewall that would block external requests?
