  • SMTP auth via mailx

    So, I installed the mailutils package on Raspbian, but I'm trying to do auth via the mail command. Regardless of the variables on the command line, I keep getting rejected with "User must use smtp auth"...

    What is the proper syntax for auth on the mail command? -S smtp-auth=LOGIN -S smtp-auth-login="username" smtp-auth-password="password" doesn't seem to work.
