Awesome work!
Anyway, I'm wondering if other people here wound up watching Revision stuff. Or even submitted stuff. I don't recognize BBS names, here, and among the Demoscene people, I think I only recognize fgenesis as an obvious crossover.
Anyway, I wound up finishing 12th out of 26, in the ANSI/ASCII/PETSCII category. I'm a bit disappointed with that, because there are several entries ahead of me that I don't get why people would rank them ahead of mine, but I think there are aspects of people voting for their friends, and I just don't have that many demoscene friends, yet.
But it really shouldn't matter in the end -- it was a nice compo, and I was happy that I made the thing I did.
It stunk; I was all geared up to stream the show and my SO called me in
to her interior decorating job. While all the Revision fun was going
down I was painting, installing and helping a home build - UGH! :P
Good for you!! Theres tons of awesome talent that enters w0rk - great j0b!! I also think yer on to something w/ the voting trends.. lots of names that have been around for DECADES and such - yer w0rk is awesome
and has changed so much since I saw yer first stuff...
I think your 'Year of ANSi' is a testament that people can still learn
to draw ANSi - anyone wondering if they can doso should go to yer BBS
and see how much changed in 365. :P
I do wonder what people could pick up -- I figure it might be hard to figure out the difference between, "she has less-developed skills, here" and "she was phoning it in, on that day". Since, yeah, sometimes I just wanted the ANSI done, rather than trying to get all the details right.

But, still, hopefully the ANSIs remain interesting on their own, even if the quality is all over the place, because it really _is_ fun to have a calendar.
I came across this post on Mastodon and thought of you. This is more of an ASCII calendar than ANSI, but still looks neat (especially the
November "font").

Sounds nifty! I'm not on Mastodon, yet, and post is either gone or not available to me
And I'm glad that people are putting the content out there, as it's neat to see.
I've re-uploaded it here, so you should be able to view this one:

There's more posts using the #bbs hashtag than I would have thought. Someone posted today that they were watching the "Back to the BBS" documentary and noting about the "overlapping reasons why I enjoy BBSes and the fediverse".
