apam,
Apparently, postie has an issue when the FTN directory is on a different device
than the temp directory. At least, that is how I am reading this error:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::filesystem::__cxx11::filesystem_error'
what(): filesystem error: cannot rename: Invalid cross-device link [temp/postie-16020/6f4eb009.pkt] [FTN/packets/6f4eb009.pkt.bad]
Aborted
Also, this appears to be the result of a "packet from unknown link in secure inbound." The packet in question is a routed netmail that came from my fsxnet
hub (which means it went in secure) but postie is then treating it as an issue
because the netmail is from an fsxnet system other than my hub (making it unknown to postie).

fidonet packets have a packet origin as well as a message origin (for
each message in the packet) the packet origin should be the system
that sent the packet (ie, the link) where the message origin is the
system that the netmail originated.
Something else is going on here, can you send me a packet like the one
that got rejected so I can look at it?
Hummm. I received a Netmail from andrew the other day, and my postie
dosn't know anything about his system... It worked fine.
apam -> avon -> my bos/hub -> this point.

On closer inspection, the packet was also garbled so maybe it was an
issue on their end. That is the first, and only, time I have run into
that so far.
Postie in the past was having issues with packets from an Atari system running ratsoft. Apam put a fix in pretty quickly for that one, so
perhaps capture the packet(s) and send them to him.

There's a board with FTN running Ratsoft?? Nice! Is is Star Fleet HQ?
Def. need to check out a RS board...
