Speaking of Australian bands, have you heard of one called 1927? I
came across them a few weeks back, 80's or 90's band, found a track
no,. but no-one is as good as midnight oil <snicker>
Yup, that was popular in the 80's. I think it was their only big one too

Midnight Oil was good right up until Red Sails in the Sunset, ok as far as Blue Sky Mining and then became rubbish. Wedding Cake Island! :P
oh man... that brings back memories LOL funny thing is, i hadn't heard of the oilers until the late 90s when we were over there.
then of course you got rose tattoo, ac/dc (durr), divinyls etc as well....

We had a raft of bands back then... Cold Chisel, The Angels, going back a bit, Masters Apprentices, Skyhooks, The Sunnyboys... we had the massive pub rock scene going on. Unfortunately it all died
when they bought out pokies here.. over a 1-2 year period every venue turned into a House of Mammon, gambling den.
Rose Tattoo even flew under the radar for a lot of locals too. But they put out some good stuff, Rock n' Roll Outlaw, Bad
boy for love, and the immortal "Stuck on you" who could pass up the lines.... "I had a fish named sam, he lived in a bowl, I
heated up the water so he wouldn't get cold, now he's gone now he's gone".
One of Australia's songs? It's a Dire Straits song (they're from the
UK).

I came across them a few weeks back, 80's or 90's band, found a track I quite liked called 'That's when I think of you' - it
could be quite good for love song formats.
