Where can I find the latest package and who do I need to talk to, to get setup?

What mrc client and version did you download? I just went through this tonight and noticed the older clients do not work correctly. The current on I am using is the archive pn-mrc129a.zip. I downloaded it from files.scene.org. It will list the current MRC chat server to use in the installation files. Hope this information helps if you haven't already gotten it working. I am now working to try to get this version modified to do 132x36 or another client someone has that will support it.

Do I have to get approval on his end to be added?

I am using that version I listed and connect fine. According to the documentation if you are using a version that is older it will auto disconnect you after connecting? I would double check the version again. You shouldn't need any permission to connect as far as I am aware.

After reviewing the code, I realized it was looking for all the settings in the config file. I ended up commenting one out.

Anyways, we're in business and up and running now.

You can find MRC v.0.29 on Bottomless Abyss, or even my bbS 2oFB...

Theres a new client that you might want to l00k at, too, named mrcX. You'll need to install the server software in the MRC v.0.29 package, but mrcX is an option that I think is really nice - I offer my bbS users both client options, and most seem to be using mrcX.

mrcX is on its 3rd beta release right now, and is available on Quantum Wormhole or again @ 2oFB... make sure to grab the 0.30 release, as thats the latest right now.
