Hi, all -- I'm having an issue with sbbs_ctrl.exe crashing every 12 hours or so. I've tried disabling any unnecessary services and am looking for suggestions on where to go next.

Unfortunately that error isn't helpful. If it was crashing in a Synchronet DLL (not ntdll.dll), that'd help isolate it. At that point, just try disabling certain servers (e.g. the mail server, the ftp server, services) until you've isolated the problem to one server and then look at its log file when the crash happens and copy/paste those last log lines here.

So, I took all of the servers out, and it looks like when I include the HSTS option for the web server, the crash happens. I don't see any log files in the LOGS directory that look like they reflect serving https, and there's nothing out of the ordinary looking in the error log.

That's a good tip. That's a feature that Deuce added and I don't know how well its been tested. If you enable all the debug-log options for the web server, that might provide more clues, but the best thing to get from the crash would be a backtrace. Backtraces are much easier to obtain if you build the code yourself and building the code yourself is easier on *nix.

So... any *nix sysop try this HSTS feature and maybe have a crash backtrace they can share?
