    Hey Nightfox,

I have two (feature?) requests for slyedit - or if I need to configure something please let me know.

    1) When I log into SBBS, I have exemption T (no idle timeout) - it would be good if Slyedit recognised that as well. A couple of times I've had my message editing aborted due to an idle timeout.

BTW: The wiki says for "userInputTimeout" it is not used for sysops, meaning if you are a sysop you shouldnt get the idle timeout? If so, what makes the sysop criteria, since it does time me out, and I'm logging in as the sysop (user 1).

    2) When it does idle timeout, it would be great if the drafted message was saved as a draft - so that when you go back into editing, you can continue where you left off.

I also wanted to check with the spell check - should it present proposed replacement words on words that fail the spell check? I never get an option to select the right word, only a dialog box to type in the correct word.

    ...ëîåï

... Heresy is only another word for freedom of thought.

I'll hae to look into that.

BTW: The wiki says for "userInputTimeout" it is not used for sysops, meaning if you are a sysop you shouldnt get the idle timeout? If so, what makes the sysop criteria, since it does time me out, and I'm logging in as the sysop (user 1).

In the Synchronet ARS (Access Requirements Strings) security, there is a keyword SYSOP - So, it's whatever Synchronet has as the criteria for the sysop.. I'm pretty sure one of the criterea is at least level 90, but I'm not sure offhand what other criteria Synchronet uses to consider a user a sysop.

    2) When it does idle timeout, it would be great if the drafted message was saved as a draft - so that when you go back into editing, you can continue where you left off.

That's something that could entail more work, but I might consider it. Synchronet (apart from SlyEdit) does have an automatic draft-saving feature if you get disconnected (which SlyEdit supports), but in this case I think SlyEdit might have to do its own work.

I also wanted to check with the spell check - should it present proposed replacement words on words that fail the spell check? I never get an option to select the right word, only a dialog box to type in the correct word.

No, SlyEdit does not currently present proposed replacement words. I looked into that, and the algorithms for finding similar words in a dictionary seemed to overload the default memory space allocated to JavaScript by Synchronet. You could increase that in one of the .ini files, but for now I decided to keep it simple and just have it only show unrecognized words.

    Awesome, thanks :)

OK, so I think I meet that criteria - so does that mean that it should not idle timeout for the sysop? If so, I dont think that it is working in my case, since I've been idle timed out a few times...

No, SlyEdit does not currently present proposed replacement words. I

OK, all good - just wanted to make sure I wasnt broken in some way...

Yes, my intention was that if you're the sysop, it shouldn't idle timeout. I haven't had it idle timeout for me, but I suppose I could do some tests..
