Hi Rob, I know this isn't about Sychronet, but if I recall correctly, you
have added fTelnet to your latest releases... if this is not the case, my bad.

Anyway, I'm having an issue with said program. Anyway, I had used this
program for years, it worked flawless. I took a short sabbatical and I'm working on a BBS.

There are 2 ways of running this program, if I host all the files locally or
I run it embedded. If I try it either way the program takes me to the
author's test web site.... It's running SynchroNET BTW... :). In the past I ran it using all the files locally... and I understand the concept of
embedded process to use it fine enough.

If I use the Wizard to setup the embedded HTML commands, it tests fine. I
add these lines to my web site and it doesn't work. When I test things, locally, as I said above, it sends me to the author's

I have other issues, beyond my understanding as well. I changed Internet providers and their modem isn't alowing me to access my local website via a name server... ie I cannot connect to my site locally by typing joesbbs.com
but I could be typing the local address... 192.168.?.?. Recently I have
added SSL certificates to my web site and I have lost my ability to even connect locally. My only work around is to take my cell phone off the
wireless network and try that way... HAHAHA...

Ummmm, I have emailed the author, no responce, and I'm here asking people
    who might know...

Is there a port that needs to be open... something I'm missing...

    Thanx for your time...

your new modem doesn't do hairpinning... add joesbbs.com 192.168.xxx.yyy to your machines' hosts file... or maybe your modem has a dns section where you can add a domain name and the IP to respond with... if so, add joes in
    there...

I had fixed a small issue I was having, I was editing the rong html file.... back ups of back ups.... Anyway, I am trying to do exactly that and now I'm getting an ftenet error sent the error off to the author and we'll see what comes of it. I think it's 2020 busting my balls on the BBS setup.

Telnet Error: fTelnet contructor was passed an invalad container id

The code works during the test on the fTelnet site... cut and paste, and recheck to see if the code was fully pasted over ... we're good to go....
then NOT. I am not an HTML coder... I was using a web page that worked for years and then the new code for some reason is not working.

I have tried to use a web page that has nothing on it but a header, so as to remove any issues as best I can, and I still get the error.
