    DM,

Thank you for all of your help recently. I have been working on a script that I'm beginning to test on my non-production SBBS sandbox that enhances/replaces the included external sysop pagers. I am still working on some enhancements and additional features, but things are progressing well enough for me to ask you about how this should be structured with the SBBS project.

For example, if I end up coding just a neat external pager, should it be submitted as a merge request where it's located in /sbbs/exec (possibly /sbbs/exec/load) or should it be submitted as being located in /sbbs/xtrn/something. I figure you are probably leaning towards /sbbs/xtrn/something, as it allows for multiple project-related files and docs based on what I'm seeing in other contributions; however, I do fully intend to provide detailed comments/instructions in my scripts.

Anyhow, I figured that asking for your preferences first is better than just submitting a merge request. Also, I'd like to adhere to any naming conventions for the script files/folders that I contribute. I'm just happy to try to give something back to this awesome project! Please advise.

    Thanks,
    -WitNik

If you have data/docs files that accompany the script, then xtrn/* is preferred.

Another (old school) option is to just archive it up and upload it to Vertrauen and other boards as something that sysops can find and install themselves. It doesn't *have* to be stored in the sbbs repository, though obviousy, that's an option (usually).
