Haven't been out to activate a park since November, and yesterday the temperature was 52 and the sun was out. So I packed up and headed to Atterbury FIsh And Wildlife Area in central Indiana. Atterbury is park K-4183. This was
the 14th time I have activated there, since it's about 30 minutes from home, it's really convenient.
Setup was a Miady 20aH LiFePo4 battery, a Elecraft K2, LDG auto tuner and a Eagle One vertical mounted to the hitch receiver of my SUV. I was on the air for about 30 minutes, all on 20m and all at about 10 watts. Made 18 contacts, including Alaska and Dominican Republic....which was very cool. I haven't managed Alaska in quite some time.
